Searches people used in April to find my website (for those who have asked, my server keeps track of them):
the life during the reign of edward the first
Ah, those were the days, my friend.
kind edward ii
Alianore will love that one.
hugh despenser the still young
What were his beauty secrets?
why do isabella and edward break up?
They have relationship issues, and he's just not that into her anyway.

That Joan was a party gal, all right!

Almost always, a son-in-law.

It took a lot of bad adolescent poetry before I figured that one out.

These always delight me.. you are so damn clever.
I wonder if some high school kids are getting the sort of writing assignments i would have killed for at that age?
Don't you just burn to know why someone asked who you are? They didn't just search for your name.. they took it that "who is" step further.
I did one of these recently and was surprised to find "Edward II" in my list too.. my comment was, "I thought I was the only person NOT writing about him!" :)
Nan
Thanks for the laughs (again)! That last one was great - reminds me of the little troll that lived under the bridge!
Very funny. And I hate to think what I've searched for that's ended up on someone's server!
LOL - great as always. But now I'm going to have to go out and find that Hugh Despenser Bridge and do an article on it!
Those are so funny and clever, Susan! Still laughing as I try to type ...
I've had the 'kind edward ii' a few times, too! I might have to do a funny search post soon, as I've had some real doozies lately. Love the bridge one!
Thanks, ladies! I'd love to see the Hugh Despenser Bridge myself!
I thoroughly enjoyed your post. I can see we share an appreciation for medieval history and literature. If you enjoy American history as well you should check out a book I just found about the civil war called Bedlam South by David R. Donaldson and Mark Grisham.
fun image of Joan of Acre? I think of her drinking from a keg at a frat party.
Thanks, Kristen! Actually, I read Bedlam South for the Historical Novels Review and thought it was very good.
Susan--now I have an image of Joan yelling "Toga! Toga! Toga!" And a very unfortunate one of her posting a picture of herself on Facebook and Edward I getting REALLY steamed.
