The Traitor's Wife Giveaway: Day 1

Well, Paris Hilton is back in jail, the temperature has gone down 10 degrees, and the UPS man has just delivered four boxes of shiny new copies of The Traitor's Wife, so all is well in Carolina.

As I said earlier, now that the copies are in, I'm going to be giving a few away. Rules: answer the daily question. (Since school's over in my part of the world, you don't even have to answer it correctly.) Just record your answer in the comments or send an e-mail to boswellbaxter@bellsouth.net. Boswell, with a little help from my daughter, will choose a lucky winner at random each day. The winner will then be asked to send me his or her snail mail address privately. That's it. You don't even have to be in North America to win. All you have to do is to be a discerning enough reader of historical fiction to want your very own (signed) copy of The Traitor's Wife. How cool is that?

Our first couple of quizzes will test your knowledge of fourteenth-century England. So without further ado, here's Quiz No. 1:

Who was Edward III's father?

1. William Wallace
2. Some other hunky Scotsman
3. Edward II
4. Roger Mortimer

Happy quizzing, and good luck! This quiz closes at noon tomorrow, my time.

Edward II maybe? LOL
I just read your review on Amazon, and even if I don't win this book, it looks like something I would buy to gift my friend. Great looking read!

Well, hopefully I'm not too late with my email entry.

Boswell is welcome to visit my pets, now posted up too!

Well, I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark at....Edward II, maybe?? Hmmm...:)

Probably Edward II but that's the boring answer.

One thing is for sure - Isabella would definitely have wanted Paris Hilton out of jail and might have even helped her escape to France.
Can you just see Paris swimming the moat?

As much as I enjoyed the scene in Braveheart between Wallace and Isabella (that was before I knew any better), I"ll have to go with Edward II.

I'd say Edward II.

I am going to post about you give away on my blog, Susan, and I think Marg is going to too. :)

Thanks for stopping by, all!

Susan, I think Isabella and Paris would be natural allies. Maybe in Paris's postjail life she can take up medieval history.
