I'm pleased to be offering a giveaway of an advance review copy of Brandy Purdy's The Boleyn Wife, featuring Jane Boleyn, sister-in-law of Anne. The Boleyn Wife was originally self-published as Vengeance Is Mine. I never got to read it in its original version, because it was snapped up by Kensington very quickly, so I'm looking forward to the revised, expanded version.
Brandy and I have known each other for a while online, and we now share the same agent!
Here's the back cover description from The Boleyn Wife:
Shy, plain Lady Jane Parker feels out of place in Henry VIII's courtly world of glamour and intrigue--until she meets the handsome George Boleyn. Overjoyed when their fathers arrange a match, her dreams of a loving union are waylaid when she meets George's sister, Anne. For George is completely devoted to his sister, and cold and indifferent to his bride. As Anne acquires a wide circle of admirers, including King Henry, Jane's resentment grows. But if becoming Henry's queen makes Anne the most powerful woman in England, it also makes her highly vulnerable. And as Henry, desperate for a male heir, begins to tire of his mercurial wife, the stage is set for the ultimate betrayal...
Encompassing the reigns of five of Henry's queens, THE BOLEYN WIFE is an unforgettable story of ambition, lust, and jealousy, of the power of love to change the course of history, and of the terrible price of revenge.
You can enter through September 7. I will send the name and address of the lucky winner to Brandy. (US residents only, sorry.) For more information about Brandy and her books, visit her website.

Please enter my name in the contest! Thanks! My e-mail is on my profile.
Ooh, I think Jane is so interesting, but not many people want to write about her (perhaps because there isn't much about her in the records - Julia Fox's nonfiction book had a lot of "she may have," "there might have been").
I'd love to read an historical fiction treatment of her.
Oops, forgot to leave my email! devourers.books(at)gmail.com
Vengeance is Mine has been on my wish list for quite some time. I'd love to read this newer version. Thanks.

I'd love to enter! I enjoyed her Piers Gaveston book very much; I'd like to read her take on the Boleyns.
I'm in. You know how to find me if I actually win.
I've been waiting for this to come out! Thanks for the giveaway!

Count me in also, Jane was an intriguing figure and I wonder if a little nutty? Would love to find out more. There were not the greatest reviews of the book by Julia Fox on the subject so I'd rather skip that one. Either way, I hope you do get to review this one soon so I can see if this is one for my TBR pile.
Thx for the giveaway,

Oh count me in! I've had Vengeance on my TBR list for quite a while! I was a bit worried by the cover though! LOL!

Cool. Add my name to the list. :)
Aw shucks Sue!
What a spoilsport!
You'd be well served if I were to reveal the answer on my blog.
Not that I have any intention of doing so. After weeks of struggling with historians and their 'facts' I'm not sure I could cope with any more historical fiction other than that what I am about to receive.
I would love to enter!
Oh yes please count me in

You can have the brandy now I've got the candy. Sorry Sue but I just couldn't wait. There was no way I could pass the newly opened candy store without takng a peek and the more I peeked the more I began to drool.
Not that I was the only one and the ironic fact it was the grown-ups not the kids - in fact the ratio is about 3:1. But then faced with childhood delights that we all thought no more is it any wonder that we all started to behave like kids?
This looks like a great read, and I would love to be entered into this giveaway.
