I Thought This Was a Pretty Reasonable Choice . . .

What Jane Austen gentleman is for you?

Mr. Ferrars. Sense and Sensibility's Edward Ferrars is soft spoken, but he is firm in his decisions and will always make good on his promises, even if he's changed his mind. His good nature might lead him into the wrong situations sometimes, but he's not as naive as you might think.

It told me the same. I do hope that doesn't mean we're in competition :-)

I got Darcy, and that's no surprise. He's my favourite among Austen's heros.

Carla--I hope not! I sure wouldn't want to be Lucy!

Gabriele, I never get the rich guy. Story of my life.

Didn't Lucy get the rich guy in the end, though? I thought the rich aunt disinherited Edward for standing by his engagement to Lucy, and settled all her money irrevocably on Edward's rather silly younger brother. Whereupon Lucy broke the engagement (thereby leaving Edward free to marry Elinor) and promptly hooked the silly younger brother and all the money. You have to hand to her for being a girl with an eye to the main chance :-)

Hehe, Darcy is a rich guy with a good character, and those are a rare breed. Rich anal orifices are easier to find, but it takes an unprincipled, slipshot girl like Lucy to want them. :)
